About the Book
The series “Age of the Wolf” is about the Jellestadtun. It all start with the story of “The Ironmaker”, where we are taken back to 8th-century Norvegr, to the landscape around Viken, a backdrop for the times when honor and ambition ruled man. In this saga, we meet Varg Svalesson, a young and idealistic chieftain of Jellestad.
Varg is torn between his love for his wife Alvhild and a secret dream. He, born as a Viking, dreams of sailing into unknown waters to find wealth and honor. As he struggles to find a balance between these worlds, his secret desire to fulfill his dream grows. This inner conflict leads him into situations where his choices have dramatic consequences for both himself and those he loves.
From the deep forests in the east to the fjords and the seas in the west, “The Ironmaker” explores themes such as loyalty, honor, and personal sacrifice. As Varg navigates through landscapes of betrayal and shifting alliances, he must make decisions that define him as a leader, a warrior – and as a husband.
This story is a blend of adventure, mystery, conflict, and romance, in which the warrior Varg, with courage and strength, together with his beloved Alvhild and her hidden powers, faces almost insurmountable challenges.
